The Vater Jay Weinberg 908 is in between a 5A and 5B for a comfortable grip. It adds 1/4" length for some added reach. The 908 has a quick taper for a slight forward throw but with a fast response. The medium-sized barrel tip delivers a defined ride cymbal tone without lacking volume to cut through while putting out full drum tones.

All these elements make the 908 a great stick for playing at both medium to high tempos with fast fills and for also more straight-ahead rock, groove playing.

An exciting addition to our already wide-ranging Splashstick product line. Although Splashsticks are lower volume than regular drumsticks, sometimes they are still just a little too much. The Splashstick Soft fills that need with a thin foam core wrapped in ______ high-quality birch dowels. The foam core reduces the weight and volume, while the wood dowels still provide an articulate tone. The blue accent band allows you to quickly identify the Splashstick Soft from other Splashstick models in your stick bag.

Includes adjustable O-Rings to adjust the feel of the impact area.

The Splashstick Soft Bamboo is made up of a thin foam core wrapped in a layer of bamboo that offers increased durability. The foam core reduces the weight and volume, while the Bamboo provides an increased articulation as compared to birch. The green accent band allows you to quickly identify the Splashstick Soft Bamboo from other Splashstick models in your stick bag.

A new addition to our “Monster Brush” product offerings. Withthe Monster Whisk Soft, we use the softer, wavy side of Sorghum Straw as the playing end as it delivers a very quiet sound with a soft and subtle tone.

The shape of the straw, when bundled in our “Monster” diameter, naturally makes it fan out in a more traditional brush style, leading to a wider surface area contact zone. A fun-to-use specialty stick that is more “felt” than heard with how it adds a soft color to the overall musical vibe when playing on a drum set or world percussion instruments like cajon, congas, etc.

Vintage inspired! A throwback to old-school brushes from decades ago. Going through Jack Adams’ [Alan Vater’s Grandfather] cases, we came across some vintage brushes made specifically for Jack when he owned and operated Jack’s Drum Shop in Boston, along with playing jazz and big band himself.

The Beantown Brush grip measures .530” for a lighter and quicker feel combined with a thinner gauge wire for more flex and a soft sound with plenty of classic swish tonality. The rubber grip’s reddish-brown color is a nod to both the vintage brush era, and Boston’s nickname of “Beantown”, where Vater’s drumstick making history began in the basement of Jack’s Drum Shop.
