Drug Overdose Deaths Remain High. 81,000+ in 2020.
Opioid addiction has ravaged the lives of millions of Americans, both directly and indirectly. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Nearly 841,000 people have died since 1999 from a drug overdose.
In 2019, 70,630 drug overdose deaths occurred in the United States. The age-adjusted rate of overdose deaths increased by over 4% from 2018 (20.7 per 100,000) to 2019 (21.6 per 100,000).
Over 70%, of the nearly 71,00 drug overdose deaths in 2019 involved an opioid.
JOHNSON & JOHNSON (J&J), Cardinal Health, McKesson, and AmerisourceBergen have recently ( July 2021) agreed to a $26 billion ( payout OVER 18 YEARS!!) settlement fund to resolve those lawsuits. Representatives from THE COMPANIES HAVE NOTED THAT THE OPIOID CRISIS IS REAL BUT STILL HAVE NOT ADMITTED TO ANY WRONGDOING.

With 81,000+ overdose deaths in 2020 ( ONE YEAR!!) per the CDC, why is it so difficult for people in our country to comprehend the hesitation of people who don't TRUST a vaxzeen ( misspelled purposely) from the same pharmaceutical Industry who told us pain pills were non habit ( medical term for not addictive) forming and pushed by doctors that has AFFECTED and DEVASTATED our country?
Chew on that.

COVID dominated the news, and the COVERAGE of addiction disappeared.
Per the CDC, in 2020 we’ve lost 81,000 (ONE YEAR!) people in our country to addiction.
To give you a visual, the picture below is AT&T Stadium (Texas) it holds 80,000 people!! We lost more in 1 year, than this stadium holds!
In recovery, life in all it’s joy and unimaginable heartbreak continues. Now more than ever we need to hear the stories of YOUR recovery. Please MESSAGE US. So people, their family and friends who continue to struggle will be inspired to continue to fight for their recovery.
