Thank you to Matthew Johnson from PFLAG Wesley Chapel/Pasco for joining us on The The Big Gay Radio Show🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️ today! 💜🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️

We talked about the work PFLAG Pasco is doing to support LGBTQIA+ individuals and families, the resources they provide, and what’s ahead for the organization.

We also covered several major headlines, including Senator Rick Scott’s opposition to Kanye West’s upcoming concert, updates on the Amazon driver accused of stealing a cat, a fatal bungee jumping accident, and more.

Then on The Big Gay After Show, the conversation continued with stories involving a Yosemite ranger’s lawsuit over a transgender flag demonstration, charges dropped in the Savoy Orlando shooting case, Florida’s “Faith and Family Month,” and other topics making headlines.

As Pasco County’s largest LGBTQIA+ organization, Pasco Pride continues to create spaces where people can connect, celebrate, and simply be themselves.

What changed at St Pete Pride between 2025 and 2026?

As St Pete Pride prepares for its 25th anniversary in 2027, organizers have introduced major changes this year, including an expanded Pride Kickoff Weekend, a larger concert venue, new community partnerships, enhanced attendee communications, and operational improvements behind the scenes.

We also spoke with community members and first-time participants about what they've noticed and what these changes mean for the future of Florida's largest Pride celebration.
