Why do we need Jesus for salvation? Why doesn’t works give us saving grace? Romans 4 tell us “Now to him who works (us), the wages (what we owe to God) are not counted as grace but as debt.” It is impossible for us to earn our salvation by being/doing good because we are not good compared to a holy God. Romans 3:10 “There is none righteous, no, not one.” So you owe a debt that you could never pay back and that debt is perfect holiness. No one is perfect or righteous we all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. So why Jesus? Because He is the only one being the begotten son of God lived a perfect and righteous life. He died and took our sins with Him fullfilling the payment we owed to God. Being the first born of the dead where death couldn’t hold Him, resurrected & gave me and you a new life, righteous and blameless to our God. This is why He says He is the way, the truth and the life, that no one can get to the father unless through Him. How do we become a co heir with Him if we are to give our life to Him? Confess with your mouth and believe in your heart that Jesus is Lord. ❤️ this is the Gospel, there is nothing more beautiful or precious than the free gift of salvation and it’s yours if you believe.
