Dear Baby,

One day your hands will be bigger than mine.

One day you won’t fit so perfectly against my chest. One day you won’t curl up this close, make these little sounds, or wrap your tiny fingers around me like I am your whole world.

And I know that is exactly how it’s supposed to be.

But some days I look at you like this and wish I could pause time just for a little while.

Because these little hands, these sleepy cuddles, and this tiny version of you already feels impossible to let go of.

So for now, I’ll hold you a little longer, breathe you in a little deeper, and remind myself that these are the days I’ll miss one day.

Dear Moms,

I saw a post recently that said:

“You were someone before you were their mom, and that person matters.”

And I know exactly what it means.

But if I’m being honest… it got me thinking about who I was before Gummy Bear.

And the truth is…

That version of me had a lot to learn, a lot to heal, and a lot of growing to do.

And if I’m being really honest… I don’t miss her.

Not because she wasn’t worthy. Not because she didn’t matter. But because I can see just how much growth has happened since then.

And I’m still learning. Still healing. Still growing.

But my life is better now. My relationships are better. My choices are better. My peace is better.

And while I will always honor who I used to be, I’m also really grateful to leave some parts of her behind.

And I’m even more excited to keep growing into this new version of me.

Dear Moms,

Today I pulled out Gummy Bear’s 3-6 month clothes for the first time.

And when I held up one of the onesies, I actually laughed and thought…

There is absolutely no way this fits my baby.

It looked huge. Way too long, way too wide, way too big for my tiny little boy.

And then… It fit him.

Perfectly.

And I just stood there for a second trying to process how the same baby who once looked swallowed by newborn clothes somehow fits 3-6 month now.

Motherhood is funny like that. One day you’re wondering if they’ll ever grow into something, and the next day, somehow, they already have.

And your heart feels proud, excited, and maybe just a little broken all at the same time.
