This is our Southwest Florida publication, we had the honor of sharing Timothy’s first year — and it is a story that truly stays with you. 🤍

One of the most beautiful parts of their journey is how Timmy’s mom began creating handmade bunnies, each one lovingly “stitched during the quiet moments between appointments, therapies, and daily care.”

This is a mama who stepped away from work to fully support her son through countless appointments — all while raising three other children. And in the middle of it all, she created something soft and meaningful. A keepsake. A comfort. A symbol of love stitched into every seam.

It’s the kind of strength and tenderness that defines so many of the families we feature.

💙🩵Happy Angelman Syndrome Awareness Day 💙🩵

I had the absolute pleasure of meeting LJ and his mom, and let me tell you—his smile truly lights up the world. He is the cutest little boy, and his laugh completely stole my heart.

I could have spent all day playing with him and taking his picture. He is so sweet, so full of joy, and nothing can slow him down.

Today we celebrate LJ and all the incredible individuals living with Angelman syndrome—your joy, strength, and light make the world a better place. 💙🩵

I’ve been working on something very close to my heart—bringing Uniquely You Magazine to West Michigan 💙

Uniquely You is a FREE monthly magazine created for and about our local special needs and disability communities. Each issue features:
• Inspiring local stories
• Helpful resources
• Recommended, inclusive businesses

This magazine is already thriving in 8 other states, including Metro Detroit, and by the end of this year it will expand to 7 more locations nationwide. It truly is a phenomenal publication, and I’m so excited to bring it here!

📣 We are currently looking for sponsors to help us get our first issue printed. There are multiple ad space options available to fit different budgets and businesses.

✨ Reintroducing Myself & Uniquely You West MI ✨

Hi friends! I realized it’s been a few weeks since I first shared about Uniquely You, so I wanted to pop back on and properly reintroduce myself.
I’m Ashley, the heart behind Uniquely You West MI — a magazine being created for the special needs community, by the community.

As a special needs mama myself, this magazine is deeply personal to me — it’s built from lived experience, love, and a whole lot of hope.

Over the last couple weeks of sharing this dream, I’ve learned so much:
🤍 There are so many families craving connection, visibility, and a place to feel seen
🤍 Our community is filled with incredible local businesses who genuinely want to support special needs families
🤍 The stories being shared with me are powerful, emotional, and exactly why this magazine needs to exist
🤍 When you speak from the heart, people listen — and they show up

I’ve also had the privilege of connecting with some amazing people and organizations already, and I’m so grateful. Thank you to everyone who has messaged me, shared my posts, encouraged me, or said “yes” to being part of this journey. Please know it does not go unnoticed. 🫶
