BenitoLink

BenitoLink San Benito County's News BenitoLink is an outcome of 18 months of listening sessions and a three-day Vision Summit in October 2011.

San Benito County residents told us they wanted a good, reliable and current source of information about our county. We listened and responded with BenitoLink.com. It's an online information hub for San Benito County residents. Websites like this are popping up around the country as daily newspapers close and are sometimes called "hyperlocal." That just means we are focusing on the events and issues unique to San Benito County—the things that are close to home, and make your life better.

Counting down: You can make a difference by 11:59pm tonight -

Although it is a little early, BenitoLink is celebrating a very successful fall fundraising campaign. This campaign is made up of major donors who offer matching funds and community members who donate to double the match.
Our goal this year was $88,500 to match and yesterday we hit our goal thanks to many community members who gave to BenitoLink. We are very thankful to all our readers who have shown that they value BenitoLink, San Benito County’s nonprofit news organization and the reporting we provide year-round.
The BenitoLink team has been reporting on the county since 2012 and we are honored to have this important responsibility. We are here to serve all community members and take our job of informing our community very seriously. Thank you for being there for us!

We have one small challenge left that we want to share with you: BenitoLink will earn a bonus of $1,000 if we can prove we have 50 new BenitoLink donors.
As of today, we have 30 new donors and we need only 20 more by 11:59 pm!
If you read BenitoLink regularly but have not supported BenitoLink yet, please consider donating on whatever level you can and help us reach this goal.
In order for us to qualify, it does not matter HOW MUCH you donate, just that you are new to BenitoLink as a donor.
Help us make $1,000 by making a donation here:

Many thanks to all of you who made this campaign a success- you have paved the way for a great year of reporting in 2026.

Executive Director, BenitoLink
