Quite pleased with the newest album in the catalog -- "Modern Soul". Soulful R&B vocals with contemporary throwback vibes. It's a lush and heartfelt collection of songs about love lost, hope rekindled, empowerment, and self-discovery. And the songs just sound amazing I think.

Bonjour! Nous avons un nouvel album français to add to our wonderful "10 West International" label. This album has some exceptional French vocal songs that we think are just très magnifique.

We have really enjoyed building this label with authentic music from around the globe. Aside from being able to discover so much incredible (and real) music from all over the world, it's been great meeting the composers and writers from far away places.

So if your production is in need of a certain authentic style of music from another land or culture, we just may have it. Or we will get it.

Aside from landing a couple of really cool syncs this past week, we just inked the deal yesterday for representation in South Africa as well as the entire African continent with Red Igloo Music. I'd say it's been a pretty good week. Hope everyone has a wonderful and relaxing weekend.

10 WEST MUSIC has worked on the show "Catfish" since even before it first aired. The music supervisor at the beginning called me up and said that my "tension drones" were really helping to define the sound of the show...and she wanted to know if they could get more. I was of course happy to oblige, and those are still airing today years later.

So last year, we decided to add some new flavors to the Catfish pot -- a series of Minimal & Emotional cues. As it turns out, these are getting used all over the place which is of course great. Didn't really see that coming.

I've always said "Less is More". And it's difficult at times for composers to hold back and not add a bunch of elements to show off their compositional chops. But sometimes, a bare bones track that might sound rather boring by itself could be absolutely perfect under dialog. Hence why we did this Minimal & Emotional series. Probably not music you'd listen to while driving down PCH but perfect for a myriad of scenes in TV shows and films.

And I think the album colors are pretty too.

10 West has become well known for our cinematic and orchestral music, much of it recorded live with *real* musicians which is not found in a lot of production music these days. One of our recent releases - "Spring & Fall" is another stunningly beautiful work of art from New York composer and orchestrator Seth Evan Stone. Playful woodwinds, virtuoso strings, and crystalline percussion create an adventurous and nostalgic journey through the seasons:
