Look at our own Ariel Monroe founder of Lawton Drag Entertainment !!

PERFORMER SPOTLIGHT: Ariel Monroe

Ariel Monroe began her drag career right here in Lawton Oklahoma, performing at Brix Nightclub as Polaris Starr. She has always been a fan of Broadway and Disney theatrics, and thus used that as inspiration for her drag performances and costuming. For her, drag is much like theatre and is a fine performance art. She takes pride in her attention to detail, and excels in mentoring others in their drag journeys.

In 2021 Ariel won the title of Miss Gay Lawton Oklahoma America, and began show directing at the VFW shortly thereafter. Since then, she has competed in the national pageant for Miss Gay Oklahoma Newcomer USofA and is now the owner of her own Newcomer pageant – Miss Gay Lawton Newcomer USofA.

Ariel is a US Army veteran of 8 years and a proud member of the VFW, as well as an avid supporter of veterans. She has been on the news and on the radio, in and out of drag to bring awareness to the LGBT and drag community in Oklahoma.
Ariel can be found styling wigs, learning a new pattern, illustrating, playing Resident Evil, or watching her favorite Disney movies while cuddling her dogs.
