🥜 Georgia’s peanut harvest is getting underway, but growers may see a stop-and-start season this year.
According to UGA Extension peanut agronomist Scott Monfort, heavy spring rains delayed planting in parts of the state, which could lead to a lull in harvest before activity picks back up.

Growers are also keeping a close eye on leaf spot, which could force some fields to be dug earlier than planned and potentially impact yield and grade.
