Many are asking- if you want to support Shayla Marie you can make a donation to papadopters- Papadopters was where we rescued Shayla. She was 9 months old when we adopted her in 2010 after she healed up from a hip dislocation by a boxer and a kid, & her family gave her up/couldn’t afford her treatment.
Thank you for all your kind words, messages and loving support. She was one of a kind and a positive influence on social media & locally , w/ farmers markets , raising $$ at events supporting shelters and humane societies etc.— all with her business nationally & globally Shaylas Flavorites LLC.
Shayla died of a pulmonary embolism and had fluid on her lungs- it all came on very sudden. We made the decision to humanely euthanize her because she indicated distress, sadness and fear. We put her needs first. She was supported by the best care from the professionals at Mid-Michigan Veterinary Cardiology . Our family is devastated. The pack is missing her presence and leadership. It will be a long while before we return to a normal, if there is a normal. Hug your babies tight.
