Today is one of the biggest days of fair week! From the parade and exhibits to the Junior Livestock Sale and evening concert, there's something for everyone to enjoy. Come out and celebrate our community while supporting the hard work of our local 4-H and FFA exhibitors!

Today is a great opportunity to cheer on our exhibitors, explore the exhibit building, enjoy great food and entertainment, and support the youth who have worked so hard to prepare for this year's fair.

It's shaping up to be one of the biggest days of the fair! From livestock shows to the always-popular Demolition Derby, there's plenty happening all day long. Come out and support our local 4-H and FFA exhibitors while enjoying a full day of fair fun!

It's officially Day 3 of the Phillips County Fair, and it's packed with livestock events, rodeo action and great food! Come out and support our local 4-H and FFA exhibitors throughout the day.

🐄 8–10 a.m. – Enter Livestock & Horses
⚖️ 11 a.m. – Weigh-In (Beef, Sheep, Goats & Hogs)
🎨 1–6 p.m. – Open Class Exhibit Entry
👥 3 p.m. – Exhibitor Meeting
🐓 4 p.m. – Poultry & Rabbit Show (Tiny Tots before the show)
🤠 4 p.m. – Ranch Rodeo
🍽️ 5 p.m. – Chamber of Commerce RMO Fry
🐐 5 p.m. – Goat Roping Check-In (Roping begins at 5:30 p.m.)

Day two of the Phillips County Fair is packed with events for all ages! Whether you're cheering on exhibitors, watching talented riders or getting the fairgrounds ready for the week ahead, there's something happening all day long.

📣 Community Help Needed! ❄️

Our air conditioner at the Holyoke Enterprise has decided to take a vacation during one of the hottest weeks of the summer. 🥵

While we wait for it to be repaired, we're wondering if anyone in the community has a portable air conditioner that we could borrow for a few days to help keep the office cool.

If you have one you'd be willing to lend us, please send us a Facebook message, call the office, or stop by.

As always, we're grateful for the incredible support this community shows us. Thank you for helping keep us cool while we continue bringing you the local news each week!

🚧 Heads up, Holyoke! Annual Street Seal Coat Project Begins July 8 🚧

The City of Holyoke is asking residents to help make this year's annual street seal coat project go as smoothly as possible.

📅 Work will take place:

Wednesday, July 8
Thursday, July 9
Friday, July 10
⏰ 4:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. each day

If you live along the affected streets, please:
🚗 Do not park vehicles on the street
💦 Keep lawn sprinklers from spraying water onto the roadway

These simple steps will help city crews complete the project safely and efficiently.

Affected streets include:
• 100–400 block West Scheunemann St.
• 500–700 block South Heginbotham Ave.
• 100–400 block West Hargreaves St.
• 100–400 block West Melissa Ln.
• 100–800 block East Hale St.
• 100–400 block West Hale St.
• 500–700 block West Johnson St.
• 100–1400 block East Johnson St.
• 100–800 block East Kellogg St.
• 100–600 block West Kellogg St.
• 700 block South High School St.
• 400 block West Kunkel St.

IT'S CHAMPIONSHIP DAY FOR HOLYOKE SOFTBALL! 💛🥎

The Holyoke Lady Dragons are making an incredible run at the 2026 Border League Softball Tournament, and they need our support!

🔥 The 12U team remains in the winner's bracket and will take on Sedgwick County at 10:00 a.m.

🔥 The 16U team has battled through the consolation bracket and will face Yuma at 11:30 a.m.

These girls have played with heart, determination and grit all tournament long, representing Holyoke with pride every time they step onto the field.

📣 Let's pack the stands and show our Lady Dragons what community support looks like! Wear your green and gold, bring your lawn chairs and help cheer them on as they continue their quest for a Border League championship.
