The sets were specially built for the Muppeteers, meaning the 'streets' of London were actually platforms suspended above the floor so the performers could walk around below. 🚨 Alaskan Blood Inventory Is Low! 🩸 The Blood Bank of Alaska is seeing a 20-30% drop in donations during the holiday season due to harsh weather and busy schedules, but local hospitals are seeing an increased need, especially due to winter vehicle crashes. CEO Bob Scanlon notes the inventory is getting tight, making it harder to respond to unexpected emergencies alongside routine needs. Donating is simple, gives you the "warm and fuzzy," and each donation can save up to three lives! All blood types are needed, especially O positive and O negative. UPDATE: Critical Deadline Today for Storm-Rescued Dogs 🐾 Nearly 20 dogs rescued in the massive airlift following ex-Typhoon Halong remain unclaimed in Anchorage shelters. Today, Monday, December 15th, is the final deadline for owners to step forward and claim their pets. If these dogs are not claimed by their families, they will be spayed, neutered, and made available for adoption. If you or someone you know was displaced from villages like Kipnuk or Kwigillingok and had to leave a dog behind, please visit the Typhoon Halong Dog Rescue site or call the Pet Help Hotline at 907-615-8904 immediately. Re-uniting these dogs is a comforting step toward recovery for these families.

Most of the dogs plucked from the Yukon-Kuskokwim Delta in the wake of ex-Typhoon Halong have been claimed. Nearly 20 will be readied for adoption if their owners don’t come forward by Monday.
