Decided to create this page for my 64 Falcon gasser “Pas’d Gas”!! Welcome an enjoy!!

Picked up the upper clutch rod and firewall seal from Melvin's Classic Ford Parts!! Put the engine back in, put the gearbox/steering shaft in!! I need to find out how much travel the Z-bar needs, right now it’s hitting the pitman arm underneath!! Any info will be greatly appreciated!! Started taking the head apart!!

So the 390 fits!! Set the engine in on the Speedway Motors engine support, got the Z-bar and brackets from Melvin's Classic Ford Parts mocked up!! Just need to get the linkage from the pedal to the Z-bar!! Feels great to get an engine in (even if it’s not welded in yet)!! Keeps the motivation going!!

So, got the engine support cut to fit in between the frame rails, had to tap all the holes for the engine mounts and for the tilty thing (mock up block had mud dauber nests in about every bolt hole)!! Got that all done, and got the mounts onto the engine block!! Progress, feels good!!

Got the down bar moved up and over out of the way of the master cylinder!! Cut the old 6 cylinder engine mounts out!! Next, gonna cut the new engine mount support down to fit between the frame rails and hopefully will be setting the engine in soon!!

Good news; got the master cylinder mocked up!! Bad news; that one down bar is right up against it!! Solution, thankfully I only tack welded the bar in, so I can just cut the welds and move it!! Also, got the gearbox and steering column in!! Got the adapter for the steering in (just drilled and tapped it for some set screws for now), once the real column goes in, I’ll weld it in place!!

So got the perches for the seat tracks welded in and then there were 2 seats!! The pictures might show the passengers seat is higher than the drivers, but it’s not!! The springs and padding are much better in the passengers seat than the drivers seat!! That’s ok though, they need to be recovered anyway!!

Well, got all the seat track perches bent up, boxed in, and… ran outta welding gas!! I’ve got a small bottle than I can use to weld the perches in for now!!

Started on the passengers seat!! Got the tracks mounted, and started making the perches for the floor!!

There’s a seat finally in the car!! It’s been about 9 years but the gasser has a seat!! Tomorrow we’ll start on the passenger side!!

Got a stand for my metal brake, made the last 2 mounts for the seat tracks!! Now, just have to fine tune the flanges to fit the floor and than weld them in!!

Unfortunately got kinda late start today but, was able to box in the 1st perch I made and drilled it, made a 2nd perch and boxed it in, and drilled it!! Those 2 are for the front and next week I’ll make the 2 for the back of the seat!! But hey, at least they’re level!!
