Iām not in the city anymore. Iām in the boonies!!! I also just hit 5 months (not 6 months as my family had thought! Trust me⦠I know how long Iāve been out here lol) I got to take a flight Thursday morning and then another 45 min drive to our house.
The area reminds me of Park City/Midway! It feels like a retirement community or like people that work nights.Ā
Fun Facts about my new area:
-It is insanely far from Vancouver
- My zone is larger than the state of Texas
- Our chapel is TINY but the Spirit is STRONG!
Weāve done so much service here! Weāve helped two families move out of their homes. You know me and my love for service! Not only do we make these families happy, we also get to wear regular clothes haha! The guy we helped today said, āI had no idea this type of thing existed!ā Glad we were able to help him move and it was fun hearing about his life.Ā
A lot of people here have different faiths and itās been so much fun getting to know what they truly believe. Weāve met Muslims, Sikhs, Catholics, Jehovahās Witnesses, and a witch. The people here are pretty dang sweet. š
My first Sunday here we had nine people! It was five missionaries and four others. A lot of people were out of town so there is that haha. We basically ran the whole service. The senior missionary couple sang a song and played their guitar.
Spiritual thought:
Ā 3 Nephi 9:14 āYea, verily I say unto you, if ye will come unto me ye shall have eternal life. Behold, mine arm of mercy is extended towards you, and whosoever will come, him will I receive; and blessed are those who come unto me.ā
This is what Jesus said when He visited the Americas after His resurrection. I love this verse because it reminds me that His arm of mercy is always extended to us, no matter what. All we have to do is come to Him!
