What an incredible day at Osborn Hill School
Team Flagman was honored to spend the day alongside Fairfield first responders and Department of Transportation workers, engaging K–5 students in a powerful, hands-on conversation about who works on our roadsides—and why their jobs are so dangerous.
Students learned about the real risks faced by police officers, firefighters, EMS, tow operators, and highway workers every single day, and why the Slow Down, Move Over (SDMO) law is so critical to keeping roadside heroes safe.
The Even more inspiring was seeing how quickly young people embraced their role as Active Passengers—learning that they do have a voice and can advocate for safer driving by speaking up, staying alert, and encouraging the adults in their lives to slow down and move over.
The curiosity, compassion, and leadership shown by these students was truly moving. This is how safer roads begin—through education, awareness, and communities coming together.
Thank you to Honda for making this lifesaving education program possible. Your support allows Flagman to bring first responders, highway workers, and students together to create safer roads for all road users.
Today was a reminder that when communities work together, lives are saved.
