🍎🥪 FREE SUMMER MEALS FOR HAWAII KEIKI 🥪🍎

Good news for Hawaii families!

Beginning today through July 17, children 18 and under can receive FREE breakfast and lunch at 74 public schools statewide through the Hawaiʻi Department of Education’s Summer Meals Program. Children do not need to be enrolled in public school to participate.

✅ Free for all children 18 and under
✅ No registration required
✅ Breakfast: 7:15 a.m. – 8:45 a.m.
✅ Lunch: 10:30 a.m. – Noon
✅ Meals must be eaten on campus

Governor Josh Green recently signed HB1875 into law, expanding Hawaiʻi’s existing shield-state protections to include gender-affirming healthcare.

Hawaiʻi already provides similar protections for abortion and reproductive healthcare. The new law generally limits cooperation with out-of-state efforts to investigate or penalize patients and providers for care that is legal in Hawaiʻi.

Supporters say Hawaiʻi is protecting privacy, healthcare access, and individual freedom.

Critics say Hawaiʻi is becoming a sanctuary state for abortion and gender-affirming care, making it harder for other states to enforce their own laws.
