Design begins with how you want people to feel in a space.
For the MCAS Iwakuni AMC Passenger Terminal DV Lounge, designer .pendergrass started with the traveler’s experience in mind—comfort, ease, and a sense of welcome. Her renderings invite customers to picture themselves relaxing with a coffee, charging devices, catching up on work, or simply watching planes taxi across the runway.
To make that vision tangible, Vanessa went beyond layouts and furniture plans. She captured the unique two-level structure, added secure lockers, and explored multiple lounge configurations. She even layered in subtle details—uniforms on the runway crew, luggage in the corner, and greenery throughout—that make the renderings feel alive.
Because when a design reflects how people want to feel, every detail works together to shape a truly meaningful experience.
