アロハ豆腐 創業75周年記念パーティー🌈 …English follows after the Japanese text!
日系コミュニティーに根差してきたアロハ豆腐。ハワイのアロハ豆腐ファンはもちろん、日本から参加した方々も。
上原家の故郷、沖縄の太鼓と獅子舞で華やかに幕が開け、創業者の亀三郎さんと鶴子さん夫妻を日本のテレビが取材した貴重なビデオが流れたり、キッズ豆腐レシピコンテストの入賞者への表彰があったり…歴史と進化が温かく交わる時間に🥰
会場には、豆腐お好み焼、豆腐カツ、麻婆豆腐、鍋、チャンプルーなどオイシーヘルシーな豆腐料理がたっぷり。
豆腐プリンや豆腐シュークリームなどデザートも豆腐一色😋
詩吟やピアノ演奏🎶上原家の兄弟、豆腐ブラザーズとジョディ・カミサトさんのライブも盛り上がりました。
社長の上原ポールさんはMC、奥さまの美砂さんは会場の隅でイベント全般のサポートに徹していらっしゃいました。
そして最後にポールさんは、
祖父母やおじ、両親、家族、従業員への感謝と、「ハワイのコミュニティのサポートがなければ75年はなかった」と、地域の皆さんへ感謝の言葉を伝えていました。
75周年というとてつもない長い年月を紡いでこられたアロハ豆腐さん。その功績をたたえられ、10月2日はとうふデーに制定✨🤙

Aloha Tofu’s 75th Anniversary Celebration 🌈
Rooted in the local Japanese community, Aloha Tofu welcomed fans from Hawai‘i and even guests who joined from Japan.
The evening opened with vibrant Okinawan taiko and lion dance performances—honoring the Uyehara family’s roots—followed by a rare TV feature on founders Kamesaburo & Tsuruko. Winners of the Kids’ Tofu Recipe Contest were also celebrated 🥰
The menu was packed with delicious and healthy tofu dishes: okonomiyaki, tofu katsu, mapo tofu, hot pot, champuru, and more. Even desserts were tofu-inspired—think pudding and cream puffs 😋
The stage came alive with shigin, piano, and live music by the Tofu Brothers (the Uyehara siblings) and Jody Kamisato 🎶
President Paul Uyehara emceed, while his wife Misa was behind the scenes making everything run smoothly. In closing, Paul expressed heartfelt gratitude to his grandparents, parents, family, employees, and above all, the Hawai‘i community: “Without your support, 75 years wouldn’t have been possible.”
In honor of this incredible milestone, October 2 has officially been named Tofu Day in Hawai‘i ✨🤙
