My why

The books I create are designed to spark curiosity and encourage young readers to look beyond their windows to a world filled with infinite opportunities, cultures, and ideas. The Earth is a giant playground - let’s explore it! My approach to storytelling

I love to drop fun characters into interesting, real-world settings. When a character learns and grows with each page turn, so too does

the reader. The Earth is a giant playground to explore, and a book is a great vantage point to take it all in.

Mt Hood and Portland are featured prominently in a new travel-inspired adventure book that I am self-publishing in Fall 2022. It’s titled Otis and Oggy: Portland Gets Goopy. Travel Portland

On a clear day, Mt Hood can be seen looming gracefully beyond the Portland, Oregon skyline. It’s less than a two-hour drive to incredible hiking, skiing, and adventures galore!

Fun Facts:
🌋 Mount Hood is a dormant volcano, called Wy’east by the Multnomah tribe.
🌋 The chance of eruption in the next 30 years is projected to be between 3% - 7%.
🌋 It is Oregon’s highest peak and the fourth highest in the Cascade Mountain Range.
🌋 Mount Hood is home to 12 named glaciers or snowfields.
