It looks as though the🔥Heat Miser🔥has taken over the latest outlook for Christmas week (Dec 23-29)! We are looking at a high probability of warmer-than-normal temperatures for the vast majority of the U.S., with the Plains and South likely trading the Snowman for a Sunburn!

The Pacific Northwest, Alaska, and New England have a much better chance of seeing the "classic" Christmas weather you remember as a kid.

A frontal system will bring rain showers to Northwest California beginning today. Additional waves of moisture will bring more rain Tuesday and again Wednesday. The heaviest rain during this time period is expected to be in Humboldt and Del Norte counties, but rainfall totals over an inch are likely in western Trinity and northern Mendocino counties as well. Rain may be greater than forecast in southern Mendocino and Lake counties, with the best chance for heavier rain that far south Tuesday night into Wednesday. More rain is expected later in the week.

🌳 Important Update for Telescope Road Residents🌳

Dear neighbors,

We’ve been in touch with a PG&E representative regarding the ongoing situation with the hazardous tree near Telescope Road. To ensure everyone's safety, they have indicated that there is a strong likelihood of power cuts in the Telescope Hill area.

Here are some mitigation measures you can take to prepare for this potential disruption:

1. Plan Ahead: Make arrangements for any essential activities that may be affected, like work or medical appointments.

2. Backup Power: If you rely on electricity for medical devices or other crucial equipment, consider securing a backup power source or making alternative plans.

3. Stay Informed: Keep an eye on updates from PG&E and local authorities regarding the timing and duration of the power outage.

4. Emergency Supplies: Stock up on necessities such as water, non-perishable food, flashlights, batteries, and any medications you may need.

5. Communication: Share this information with neighbors who may not be on social media, especially the elderly or those who might need additional support.

Let’s stay prepared and look out for one another during this time. If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to reach out!

Stay safe, everyone! 💡✨
