𝐇𝐎𝐑𝐍𝐄𝐋𝐋 𝐎𝐕𝐄𝐑𝐀𝐋𝐋 𝐂𝐇𝐀𝐌𝐏𝐈𝐎𝐍𝐒! Both Hornell teams celebrate as the girls win the overall girls title with a score of 124 points and the boys join in by adding 46 points and winning the combined team score title. 8th grader 𝐁𝐫𝐲𝐧𝐧𝐚 𝐖𝐢𝐥𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐨𝐧 broke the meet record in the 2000 steeplechase held by Elsa Cole of Filmore from 2015. Brynna ran a time of 7:32.90 and took first place.
𝐄𝐥𝐥𝐚 𝐖𝐡𝐢𝐭𝐞 raced her way to the 𝐋𝐢𝐬𝐚 𝐑𝐨𝐬𝐢𝐜𝐚 𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝 for the most outstanding track athlete. Ella won all of her events. She ran 12.59 in the 100, 16.12 in the 100 hurdles, 25.98 in the 200 and was part of the winning 4x100 relay team (51.35).
Brynna also took 3rd in the 800 (2:26.12), 𝐒𝐢𝐥𝐯𝐢𝐚 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐨 3rd in the 400 (1:03.39), and 4th in the 400 hurdles (1:13.81), 𝐃𝐞𝐥𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐲 𝐓𝐡𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐬𝐨𝐧 2nd in the 400 hurdles (1:1079), 3rd in the high jump (5' 00"), and 6th in the 200 (27.96), 𝐄𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐚 𝐁𝐨𝐝𝐢𝐧 5th in the 3000 (12:15.37), 𝐃𝐚𝐯𝐯𝐲𝐧 𝐓𝐡𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐬𝐨𝐧 5th in the 400 (1:04.74), 𝐒𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐚 𝐌𝐚𝐥𝐝𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐝𝐨 1st in the long jump (17' 05"), 2nd in the triple jump (32' 08"), and 2nd in the 100 (12.90), 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐞𝐫 𝐆𝐫𝐚𝐡𝐚𝐦 3rd in the long jump (15' 07"), and 𝐌𝐚𝐲𝐥𝐞𝐢𝐠𝐡 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐧 tied for 2nd in the pole vault (8' 01"). 𝐃𝐞𝐦𝐚𝐲𝐧𝐞 𝐃𝐢𝐱𝐨𝐧 was 3rd in the high jump (5'11"), 2nd in the 100 (11.40), 𝐔𝐫𝐢𝐣𝐚𝐡 𝐌𝐚𝐭𝐭 2nd in the discus throw (131' 03"), 𝐆𝐚𝐛𝐞 𝐑𝐚𝐬𝐞𝐩𝐡𝐞𝐢 3rd in the 200 (24.24), and 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐞 𝐇𝐨𝐩𝐩𝐞𝐫 2nd in the 400 (52.27). The girls 4x100 team of 𝐄𝐥𝐥𝐚 𝐖𝐡𝐢𝐭𝐞, 𝐌𝐚𝐮𝐫𝐚 𝐊𝐡𝐨𝐫𝐤, 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐞𝐫 𝐆𝐫𝐚𝐡𝐚𝐦, and 𝐒𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐚 𝐌𝐚𝐥𝐝𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐝𝐨 also placed 1st with a time of 51.35 and the boys 4x100 relay team of 𝐋𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐨𝐧 𝐁𝐨𝐲𝐥𝐞, 𝐆𝐚𝐛𝐞 𝐑𝐚𝐬𝐞𝐩𝐡𝐞𝐢, 𝐃𝐞𝐦𝐚𝐲𝐧𝐞 𝐃𝐢𝐱𝐨𝐧 and 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐞 𝐇𝐨𝐩𝐩𝐞𝐫 also took 1st with a time of 45.55
In non-scoring events, the girls 4x100 throwers relay which was an "anything but a baton" relay, the girls came in first with a time of 1:03.The team was composed of 𝐌𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐫𝐲 𝐁𝐞𝐫𝐫𝐲, 𝐀'𝐉𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐲 𝐇𝐚𝐰𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐬, 𝐄𝐦𝐦𝐚 𝐖𝐞𝐥𝐤𝐞𝐫, and 𝐌𝐚𝐲𝐥𝐞𝐢𝐠𝐡 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐧.
