ZETA CHI

ZETA CHI The name of this organization is Zeta Chi Chapter of Epsilon Sigma Alpha International.

Zeta Chi's purpose is to unite women in a dedicated pursuit of self-fulfillment and meaningful service to others; to bring together people who wish to better themselves and others, to aid the needy and the disabled, to encourage members to discover and develop their unique capabilities, to create a climate of friendship and belonging in which each member can enjoy a satisfying life.

The October 27th meeting has been changed to Thursday, October 30th, Garland County Library, 1:00pm, Room D.
A water main broke and the library is closed to the public until repairs can be made.

SEPTEMBER 22, 2025
PRESENT: ALEXANDRA BELL, REGENIA BETTIS, SHELBY CHURCH, REGINA DUBRISKE, JOYCE FRIZZELL, ROBERTA HATCHER, PEGGY HOLT, LYNN WOODALL, GINGER YATES

Peggy Holt, Secretary – the August minutes were e-mailed to members
Roberta Hatcher, Treasurer – as of 9/21/25 the General Fund was $5,049.46, the Philanthropic Fund $759.41, St. Jude $93.57, Books $180.64 making a total of $6,083.08
Income was $125.00, Expenses $705.00, Doin’ Time 2026 Donation $519.54
Stephanie Fussell, Area Agency on Aging fundraising – no report
Jerri Roper/Joyce Frizzell, Arkansas Children’s Hospital – Joyce reported there are 60 critters ready to stuff
Sharon Turrentine, Awards/Installation – no report
Sharon Turrentine, Blessing Boxes – Tim Looper picked up donations from members
Anne Head, Books, Bags & Buddies for Children – no report
Brenda Richardson, Care Connection – no report
Alexandra Bell, CHI Hospital and The Caring Place – It is up to individual members if they want to volunteer at these locations.
Peggy Holt, Coats for Kids – Sam’s Club has nice coats with hoods for $20.00 plus tax. Members can purchase coats or give cash or a check to Peggy Holt. Coats will not be delivered until November.
Lynn Woodall, Parliamentarian – no report
Ginger Yates, Publicity – shared a photo from the Sentinel Record of our donations to the Blessing Boxes and a photo of our August Speaker Alexandra Bell.
Shelby Church, Social Committee – The Luau held on September 19th was a success. Peggy Holt thanked Shelby for all her hard work behind the scenes on the Luau Dinner.
The Social Committee had planned to have a Chili Cook off October 30th, but there is a conflict with that date. The Committee will look for another date and advise.
Shelby Church, St. Jude – a signup sheet was passed around for Jailbirds 2026

The Committee met and has several Entertainment events planned. Old Business: Alexandra Bell – Caring Place – Alexandra Bell and Lori Cox met with the Director and have paperwork for volunteering
Stephanie Fussell and Alexandra Bell met with Dody Roberts with Area Agency on Aging and are forming a committee to help with Fundraising for this Agency.
New Business: Secretary Peggy Holt read Thank you notes from The Call, Humane Society of Garland County, Jackson House and Ouachita Children, Youth & Family Services thanking Zeta Chi for donations.
