We will see our first hard freeze of the season tonight as an arctic air mass moves into the region on strong northerly winds. Temperatures will fall into the mid 20s by Monday morning, and highs will only be in the mid 40s to start the work week. After another hard freeze Monday night, temperatures will start to warm throughout the week, and most locations will be back in the 70s by Thursday. Mostly dry conditions will persist through the week, but at least low-end rain chances look to return to the forecast over the weekend ahead of another strong cold front. Have a good week!

Warmer conditions will return to the forecast this week as high pressure builds back over the region. Afternoon highs will be in the low to mid 70s each day, and overnight lows will warm into the upper 40s to mid 50s. Rain is not expected over the next seven days, but a dry cold front will at least bring a bit of cooler air to the state as we head into the weekend.

We will see noticeably cooler temperatures this week thanks to a strong cold front that is forecast to push across the region on Tuesday. Afternoon highs will be in the mid 50s to mid 60s each day, and overnight lows will fall into the 30s and 40s. There could be a few scattered showers and thunderstorms on Tuesday along the cold front, but rainfall amounts are expected to be light and severe weather is not expected.

It will finally feel like fall this week with afternoon highs in the 60s and 70s each day. Overnight lows will dip into the mid 40s during the first half of the workweek, and some parts of northern Arkansas could even see temperatures in the upper 30s early Wednesday morning. Rain chances will return to the forecast by Friday as a strong storm system moves into the region, and it looks like heavy rainfall and a few strong to severe thunderstorms may be possible through the weekend.

Hot and dry conditions will continue this week as persistent high pressure remains entrenched over the region. Temperatures will remain above average with afternoon highs in the mid 80s and overnight lows in the upper 50s and low 60s. There is some indication of a possible pattern shift towards the end of the period, and this may bring some cooler weather and rain chances back to Arkansas over the weekend.
