Friday: Patchy morning fog ➑️ mostly cloudy. SE winds 5–10 mph with highs near 80Β°.
🌩️ Shower & storm chances ramp up to 70% this afternoon as a cold front moves in.

⚠️ Severe Weather Outlook:

Marginal Risk (1/5) for most areas

Slight Risk (2/5) for northern counties

Threats include damaging winds, hail, and a small (2%) tornado risk
⏰ Storms possible after noon through the evening

Saturday: Front moves offshore early with strong north winds.

12–13–25 Weather Update πŸŒ¦οΈβ„οΈ

Saturday will be mostly cloudy with a 30% chance of afternoon showers and thunderstorms. Highs will be near 76Β°, with overnight lows around 56Β°. A strong cold front will approach the area Saturday, increasing rain and storm chances to 40% Saturday evening and overnight as a line of showers and thunderstorms develops ahead of the front. Rain totals where storms occur will average 0.25” to 0.5”, with a few isolated spots seeing higher amounts.

Much colder and windy conditions arrive on Sunday behind the front. North winds will blow at 15–20 mph, with gusts up to 30 mph, and temperatures will fall into the mid-50s by late afternoon. Freezing temperatures will be possible early Monday morning across much of the area, including much of the Houston metro.

Looking ahead, a quick warm-up is expected next week, with highs returning to the mid to upper 70s by midweek, along with another slight chance of rain.
