This Saturday, June 8, 2024, Fort Bend County Homeland Security & Emergency Management, Fort Bend County Health & Human Services and Texas State Guard will be conducting a Point of Distribution (POD) Exercise. The POD will be setup at Wharton County Junior College campus located at 5333 FM 1640 in Richmond.

It is hurricane season and time to stock up on your emergency supplies so if you need a free case of water & hurricane preparedness information, come on out. The POD will begin distributing at 9 a.m. and remain open until 1 p.m. or while supplies last.

Did you lose food purchased with SNAP benefits because of the storm? Houston Food Bank is hosting an event Friday, May 24 from 9am to 3pm to help neighbors replace SNAP benefits. Hope City is continuing to offer FREE hot meals, food, and supplies to those in need over the next several days.

If you are in need of a hot meal or supplies such as water, non-perishable food items, or a cleaning kit, visit Hope City Headquarters at: 5300 W. Sam Houston Parkway N.

The drive-through distribution will take place on the following days and times:
Thursday-Saturday (May 23-25): 11am - 2pm
Monday, May 27: 11am - 2pm

Community Navigators are available to assist with applying for Replacement SNAP! Form 1855 is available for households currently receiving SNAP benefits. In-person assistance will be available Friday, May 24 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. at the Houston Food Bank.
