Yes, teaching skills are transferable, but they look different in a new role or industry. Don't just say it—show how they transfer. Build projects, plan events, track budgets, and tell your story in a way that hiring managers understand. They have no idea what teachers do!

By dividing educators into four groups using a proprietary survey, they get hands-on learning pathways that meet them where they are.

This is what real, practical AI training should feel like.

When I left the classroom, I promised myself that I’d never stop helping educators.

But recently, I found myself doing something a little different…
Teaching a room full of realtors how to use Canva!

At first, I was nervous. Totally different space. Totally different crowd.
Then I realized something powerful.
It doesn’t matter what you teach or who you teach—everyone becomes a student when they’re learning something new.

It turned out to be one of the most fun, fulfilling experiences I’ve had in a while. A good reminder that teaching will always be a part of who I am.

🔑 Monday Mindset | The Story I Kept Telling Myself

For years, I told myself one story:
👉 “I can’t leave teaching because I’ll be starting over.”

That story kept me stuck. It made me feel like all the late nights, the professional development, the degrees, the leadership roles… none of it mattered outside the classroom.

But here’s the truth: You’re never starting over.

When I finally made the leap, I realized I wasn’t throwing anything away. I was carrying it all forward: the leadership, the creativity, the problem-solving, the resilience.

The real mindset shift?
💡 You’re not starting from zero. You’re starting from experience.

If you’re sitting in that same headspace today, replaying the story that leaving means losing everything… it’s not true.

You’re not starting over. You’re building on what you’ve already done.

💬 What story are you telling yourself right now that might be holding you back?

🎒 Field Trip Friday Spotlight: Social Media Manager

Teachers are already wired for this role:

You plan and schedule content (lesson plans, newsletters, events)

You engage with communities (students, parents, staff)

You measure success (data, assessments, feedback)

You keep messaging clear and consistent

A Social Media Manager is basically the teacher of a brand’s online classroom. You plan, engage, and make sure the message sticks.

💡 If you’ve ever managed a classroom Instagram, a PTA page, or a school newsletter — you’ve already flexed these skills.

This is a career worth exploring if you want to mix creativity, strategy, and community building.

💬 Tag a teacher who’d thrive in this role.

Educators turn data into stories.

Think about it:

You track student growth.

You analyze test results.

You use patterns to make decisions.

That’s the exact foundation of a Data Analyst role. The difference? In business, instead of measuring student growth, you’re measuring company growth.

Your ability to interpret numbers and translate them into clear insights is a superpower.

Would you ever pivot into data analytics?
