Some diets are hard, others take too much time, and some others still just don't make sense with your lifestyle.

Here are some of our favorite tips to losing weight, keeping it off. All in ways that are manageable and accessible.

1. Keep on walking. This is an easy, no stress exercise that most can do.

2. Get your fiber- and fill up on it.

3. Don't eat in front of the TV.

4. Meal prep in a way that makes sense to you and your lifestyle.

5. Don't drink your calories away. Eat them instead.

6. Stay hydrated!

7. Eat fewer processed sugars- this can be gradual.

8. Create weekly or monthly goals that are mindful and make sense to what you're trying to achieve in the short and long term.

9. Be realistic.

10. Do workouts that you actually like, and buddy up if you can!

This finding lines up with previous research.

Over 2,000 people participated in this study, and the age averaged at 45 years.

This was compared to people who took fewer than 7,000 steps a day.

Did you know that a recent study notes that eating walnuts may help to lower 'bad' cholesterol?

Walnuts are a nut is that high in omega-3 fatty acids- much like fish oil. This fatty acid can help to lower the risk of heart disease.

This new study found in a research letter in the American Heart Association journal "Circulation" looks specifically at walnuts consumers over a number of years in older adults.

The facts are in: the study further confirmed what science already knew. Nuts are good for your health, and walnuts may even be the 'icing on the cake' in terms of heart health.

The study found that this switch CAN decrease the risk of stroke. out salt?

A new study based in China reviewed the history of 20,995 individuals from 600 villages in an "open-label, cluster-randomized trial" to see the effects of salt versus a salt substitute. This was in relation to the possible reduction of strokes in high-risk individuals.

The study found that this switch CAN decrease the risk of stroke .

1. Self examination: check your breasts for any lumps or odd skin color/ texture.
2. Clinical breast exam: care providers will do this exam every 1-3 years depending on your age.
3. Mammograms: This low-dose x-ray can detect problems early. Talk with your doctor to determine if now if the right time for you to have one.
