Across the nation, homeowners like you will be connected in the experience of living in a Stroll-worthy neighborhood. Stroll Bay Oaks is exclusive to the Bay Oaks community "Delivering Neighborhood Connections" through sharing resident stories, photos, and happenings you’ve

come to expect and enjoy. Through hyper-local, resident-submitted content, we create an avenue for these individuals to get to know local organizations, businesses, and their neighbors on a more personal level. Along with our print medium, we also provide digital avenues on which our residents can connect. The final component which makes us unique is the many events that we organize. Local restaurants, spas, salons, and more share their products and services in order to garner a face-to-face relationship with the residents of Bay Oaks, Houston. There is no better way for a business to secure long-term success than to make the right connections.

From Galveston beginnings to Bay Oaks bliss. 🏘️

Jonathan and Kathryn Zavala met during college, married in 2019, and are now raising Hailey and James right here in Bay Oaks. Whether it’s crafting at home, volunteering at church, or traveling to Sesame Place, this family loves making memories together. 😍

Jonathan leads engineering teams and loves building things with his hands. Kathryn, a former nurse turned travel agent and full-time mom, fills their calendar with adventure.

They cherish the little things: outdoor movie nights, weekend outings, and neighborhood strolls with their rescue pup Scout and poodle Lucy. 🐾

“We’re so thankful to live in one of the best neighborhoods around,” they said. “Bay Oaks has felt like home from day one.” 💬

With 29 block parties, 500+ attendees, and visits from law enforcement, this year’s NNO lit up Bay Oaks with laughter, lights, and community spirit. From glow-in-the-dark games to police car tours, the memories were unforgettable. ✨

Now she’s made it a career. Shelly's journey from math teacher to travel advisor reflects a family that knows how to blend purpose with passion.

Robby, a Senior VP at Dashiell Corporation, balances work with community service through the Knights of Columbus.

Together, their love for travel has taken them from Turks & Caicos to Cabo - and their favorite tradition? Watching The Chosen with family and cheering on the Saints, Aggies, and LSU 💛💜

Oh, and Bella the dog? She’s the “favorite child.” 🐾

Two pups, two big hearts - and one unforgettable bond. 🐾

The Zavala family’s dogs Lucy and Luke are more than pets - they’re family.

Luke, a gentle shepherd mix, was adopted from a local shelter and lovingly called the kids' “guardian.” He passed from cancer recently, but left pawprints on every heart.

Lucy, a mini poodle, still brings the laughs. She loves cuddles, beer foam, and basking in the spotlight. 💖🐶

These pups reflect the love and joy the Zavalas have brought to Bay Oaks in just one year.
