Typing Monkey Publishers is excited to introduce you to Dede Fox, the author of "The Woodlands Art Benches: Sparking Connections."

Dede Fox was the 2016-2019 NEA Writer at Bryan Federal Prison Camp for Women and the 2017-2022 Montgomery County Poet Laureate. Through Writers in the Schools and the Periwinkle Foundation, she continues to write with hematology/oncology patients at Texas Children’s Hospital.

Her publications include The Treasure in the Tiny Blue Tin (TCU Press), and On Wings of Silence: Mexico ’68 (Lamar University Literary Press), a novel in verse. Other works include the poetry books Postcards Home (Ink Brush Press) and Confessions of a Jewish Texan (Poetica Press), as well as nonfiction for Highlights Magazine. Dede’s book reviews and poetry have appeared in multiple journals and blogs.

When she’s not reading, writing, or walking wooded trails, Dede loves hanging out with her daughters, their spouses, four grandchildren, and her devoted dogs Cinnamon and Sugar.
