Heft my car parked for a couple hours and came back to it looking like this, ripped up on the side like someone took their anger out on it piece by piece. didn't even need to guess who did it because my girlfriend had already been blowing up my phone before this, mad about something I already told her wasn't that serious

she didn't call, didn't talk it out, just went straight to damaging my car like that was a normal reaction. and the craziest part is she tried to justify it after, talking about how I "pushed her to that point" like that suddenly makes this make sense. no accountability, just emotions and destruction

so | didn't sit there and argue with her. I went right to her place, grabbed everything I ever bought her, and took it back. not asking, not negotiating. if she can treat my car like that, I can treat her stuff the same way she treated mine, simple as that

now she's the one calling nonstop, acting like I went too far, but I'm not about to play nice after that. if you think you can wreck something of mine and I'm just gonna sit there and accept it, you picked the wrong person to try that with!

Please tell me I’m not the only one who would be confused by this… we were quoted $850 to repair the wall and remount the TV, but I don’t even know if that’s where I should start after seeing this mess. I genuinely can’t believe a business actually thought this sign was okay to put on their front door 😅

I walked up with my kid today and was immediately met with a big sign basically saying children aren’t welcome unless they’re perfectly silent and invisible.

And honestly, it wasn’t even just *what* it said—it was the tone. It came off really hostile, like families with kids are automatically a problem before they even step inside.

Which is wild to me, because if you’re running a public-facing business, you kind of have to expect that families are going to show up.

It honestly gave strong “we don’t like kids but still want your money” energy 💀

And I kept thinking… do they really expect parents to see that and still feel good about spending money there?

Because for me, it just felt disrespectful and a bit arrogant.

Not gonna lie, I was tempted to go in just to ask if they’d actually say that to customers’ faces the same way it’s written on the door...😬 🗯

Am I wrong for walking out after seeing this sign on the restaurant door? 🤔🍽

For context, I always tip. 20% is usually my starting point, and if the service is great, I have no problem leaving more.

But before I even stepped inside this restaurant, I was greeted by a giant sign on the front door that said:

“OUR SERVERS MAKE $2.13/HR… IF YOU CAN’T AFFORD TO TIP, YOU CAN’T AFFORD TO DINE OUT.”

I read it, paused, and turned right around. 🚶‍♂️

Not because I don’t tip.

Because being told what I’m expected to pay before I’ve even seen a menu, ordered food, or met the server completely changed the vibe.

I’m happy to reward good service. I’m less excited about being made to feel responsible for the restaurant’s pay structure before I even walk through the door.

When did tipping go from appreciation after good service to a warning sign before you sit down?

Maybe the sign is honest. Maybe it’s meant to support the staff. But to me, it felt less like a request and more like an ultimatum.

At some point, shouldn’t fair wages be the business owner’s responsibility instead of turning every customer into payroll support?

So yes, I left.

This question has been blowing up online lately, and the answer isn't as simple as most people think.
Here's the key distinction:
💵 A tip is generally considered voluntary.
📋 A service charge is mandatory.
Once a restaurant requires a specific percentage, it often stops being a traditional tip and becomes a service charge instead.
That's where many customers get confused.
A lot of people assume that every mandatory percentage added to a bill goes directly to the server. In reality, service charges and gratuities can be treated very differently depending on the restaurant, local laws, and company policies.
And that's exactly why debates like this keep exploding online. 👀
Many diners still see tipping as something earned through good service—a way to say:
👏 "You did a great job."
Not:
📢 "This amount is required before you've even sat down."
At the same time, restaurant workers are facing rising costs too. Many rely heavily on gratuities to make ends meet, which is why compensation remains such a heated issue throughout the industry.
The bigger question may not be whether customers should tip...
It might be whether the entire system still makes sense in 2026. 💭
Would it be better if:

Maybe it’s just me, but seeing one motorcycle take up an entire patient parking space right in front of a hospital is so frustrating. 😭

People are already circling the lot trying to find a spot for appointments, visiting someone, picking up family, or getting in and out quickly. Then you pull up and see one bike sitting in a full-sized space near the entrance while cars keep driving around looking for somewhere to park.

I understand motorcycles need a place to park too, but hospital parking is already limited enough without using one of the closest full spaces like this. It just feels inconsiderate in a place where people may be stressed, in pain, running late, or dealing with something serious.

A little awareness would go a long way. Park it somewhere that makes more sense and leave the close patient spaces for vehicles that actually need the room.

I don’t have a problem with people washing their cars at home, but once the sidewalk turns into a soapy little river, it becomes everybody else’s issue. 😭

The water was running right down the driveway, across the public sidewalk, and into the street like someone set up a neighborhood car wash. There was foam everywhere, and someone walking their dog actually had to pause and figure out how to get around it without stepping straight through the mess.

A little water is one thing. That happens. But soap all over the sidewalk is different, especially when people are trying to walk, kids are riding bikes, and pets are being walked through the neighborhood. Nobody should have to dodge slippery runoff just because someone wanted to wash their SUV in the driveway.

Wash your car, sure, but at least try to keep the mess contained. Public sidewalks are for everyone, not just a drain path for your driveway project. 🧼 Do people not think about this stuff anymore?
