Sharing this information as this young man went to high school with my daughter. He and and his family need your help raising money to post his bond. I cannot speak to the veracity of the allegations, or whether such are indeed fact, but I do know that what Jaylen has been accused of is totally out of his character. What I do know is that he was trying to help take try to take care is his of his ill mother while trying to graduate from high school.

According to the family’s GoFundMe page, Jaylen was merely picked out of a line up and has been incarcerated for 2 months now in n Harris County (Houston) Texas.

The family is simply trying to post enough money to allow him to come home to try to clear his name.

A career dedicated to public service is not for the feign of heart. I have personally found that fact to be undeniably true over the past few years. It takes selflessness, courage, sacrifice, and dedication. Brian Middleton Brian Middleton embodies all of those traits.

I met Brian about 25+ years ago where we spent just about every weekday in bankruptcy court representing creditors, mostly mortgage lenders. He then changed his career path to representing and advocating on behalf of victims of crimes, to becoming the FIRST African American District Attorney of Fort Bend County Texas.

In his first year of being in that position, Brian helped me navigate one of the most high profile cases in my legal career, that also happened to receive world wide media coverage.

Attorneys, specifically District Attorneys who are staunch opponents of upholding the law and truly advocating for victims, while not taking credit for such is rare, especially in the current state of affairs.

I mentioned all of the above to say that Brian Middleton has my full support to continue representing Fort Bend County as its District Attorney with integrity and humility.
