📚 Texas Families: STAAR Results Are Being Released
If your child took the STAAR test this school year, results are now becoming available through the Texas Education Agency.
High school End-of-Course exam results were released June 10, and results for students in grades 3-8 are scheduled to be released June 16.
Parents can access their child's scores by visiting:
🌐 texasassessment.gov
To log in, you'll need your child's unique access code, which can typically be found on the first page of their report card. If you can't locate it, your child's school can help provide it.
STAAR results are reported using four performance levels:
📊 Did Not Meet Grade Level
📊 Approaches Grade Level
📊 Meets Grade Level
📊 Masters Grade Level
Students who score at the "Approaches" level or higher are considered to have passed the assessment, while "Meets" and "Masters" indicate stronger levels of proficiency.
The state also announced that the current STAAR system will eventually be replaced. Beginning with the 2027-28 school year, students will take shorter assessments throughout the year rather than one major test at the end of the year. The new assessment system will be called the Student Success Tool.
Whether you love standardized testing or wish the system looked different, these scores provide one snapshot of student progress and can help families better understand where additional support or growth opportunities may be needed.
