Was Mary a virgin forever? Did Jesus have siblings? The Bible calls them “brothers” (Mark 6:3)… but in Jesus’ language, “adelphoi” meant cousins or kin too, just like Abraham calls Lot his “brother” (Gen 14:14). James & Joses? Sons of another Mary at the cross (Matt 27:56). From the cross, Jesus gives His mother to John (John 19:26–27) unthinkable if she had other sons. Ezekiel 44:2 calls her womb the gate the Lord entered and it “remains shut.” Early Christians (150 AD Protoevangelium, Jerome 383 AD) taught ever virgin. Once the living Ark carried God… you don’t repurpose it for everyday use. Mary carried the Word made flesh…forever consecrated .
