It is Calendula Season.

I always buy more or start more than I planned, or than I really have space for. But is that really an issue? It just means it's time to get more containers.

Calendula is excellent because it
•Attracts pollinators
•Blooms like crazy
•Crazy easy to grow
•Great for skin and tea

Grow some this year. You'll see why.

Oh, the magic is in the flowers.

I picked up some of my favorite low-maintenance perennials today: multiplying onions. They are inexpensive to buy, easy to grow, and they multiply rapidly. Plant once and harvest for years.

What’s better than that?

My kids thought we were going to get ice cream. Ha! You'd better take one of the free Dum Dums from and call it a day.

Simple steps, Real results.

Peel the garlic, drop it in a clean jar, poor raw, honey, until everything is covered.

Leave space for bubbling. Keep it on the counter. Flip the jar every few days.

still uses this old seed storage station from the 1900s. HA my kids tell me I was raised in the 1900s.

Farmers and gardeners would come in, pull open a drawer, and buy what they needed for the season. No plastic packets, no racks, no fancy designs. Just seeds.

Seeing stuff like this reminds me that gardening has always been simple.
Season after season, people just grew food.

Spring vegetables are coming. Time to start getting your beds ready.
