We haven't posted much on this page recently, but today is a special day. Space City Films was founded on this day, May 5, waaaay back in 1995, so today is our 30th anniversary, woohoo!

There are so very many people - customers, supporters, friends, family, believers - who made this possible.

But most of all I want to sing the praises of our incredible staff and specialists who have helped make our little production company so successful for the last three decades, artists all. We could not have done it without you, so THANK YOU for this incredible ride.

To celebrate this milestone, here are thirty random photos (out of thousands), with no particular import, rhyme, or reason.

We are deep into live event season, having just finished the Bay Area Houston Economic Partnership Quasar Awards Gala on January 27. Up next is Space Symposium at the Broadmoor in April, followed one week later by the RNASA Space Awards Gala at the Hyatt Regency Houston.

Scrub! Can’t tell you how many times this happened to us during the shuttle program, if not for weather then mechanical or systems or range violations.

The last two pics are of 528 in the Port / Cape Canaveral area. Since KSC was closed to visitors (the general public usually parks in the causeway inside KSC) folks drove into Cocoa and just stopped on the highway.

Traffic backed up for six hours and rain on the way, yikes!

T minus five and a half hours to launch, weather permitting. This will be the first launch of American astronauts on an American spacecraft from American soil since the last space shuttle flight (STS-135) nine years ago. Go DM2!

Space City Films was founded for one purpose - to tell the story of human space exploration. We are proud to say that today - May 5, 2020 - marks 25 years of working to fulfill that mission.

Over the years the team at Space City Films has helped NASA, its contractor partners, and hundreds of companies large and small illustrate the future with creative and innovative concepts, scripting, cinematography, post-production, and photorealistic 3D animations.

We’ve produced videos and digital media that persuade government officials to support funding for America's human space program and help businesses promote their capabilities to the space industry.

We've entertained audiences with documentaries and giant screen films at museums and visitor centers, and shared the stories of tens of thousands of men and women who help this nation’s space program take flight.

We would to take a moment to honor all of the dedicated men and women who are part of this incredible industry, thank all of our employees and crew who have worked with us over the last quarter century, and express our gratitude to the clients who have trusted Space City Films to tell their story. Thank you.
