FlyNow, an Austrian start-up, plans to introduce electric helicopters for the 2030 World Expo in Saudi Arabia. Announced by cofounder Yvonne Winter, thousands of e-copters will transport visitors around Riyadh, enhancing mobility and sustainability. FlyNow will soon open manufacturing facilities in Saudi Arabia. The single and double-seat e-copters can fly for 31 miles at up to 81 mph and feature automatic flight systems. Challenges include finding charging spots and building the fleet in six years. FlyNow successfully tested a prototype in 2023, aiming to meet existing regulations for the expo.
