In future, KTRK might do a five-second Internet search for data, and also learn the difference between actual UH student housing and a private property owner who’s set up camp within a few minutes’ drive between UH and its collegiate neighbor, Texas Southern University, in order to exploit the student housing market.

It may save them some embarrassment.

The caffeine shakes are starting to overtake campus, so our dear friends (and UH Alum), Katz Coffee, are fresh roasting and brewing your coffee for you off-site to make sure you can stay awake for that Org Chem class! The Nook is open and serving fresh drip coffee, fresh squeezed juices, and bottled drinks until the city solves this crisis.

CONTINUING COVERAGE: The "University of Houston is recommending our campus community avoid drinking tap water on campus at this time."

In phone calls, the City said they are working on resolving "the problem" but refused to provide "any updates" on the issue here at UH.

When contacted, the University provided no information to The Cougar Paw beyond that contained in the "Emergency Alert."

In a University issued an "Emergency Alert" email at 6 a.m. this morning, the University stated that they are working with the city to identify the problem, flush the discolored water, and correct the issue.

Samples are being expedited for testing by both the University and the City.
