Lorelle Media Lorelle Media is known for its masterful video storytelling, creating compelling content for corpora So here's the thing: It's not about the message.

It's about the STORY. Connecting what you do -- to who you are -- and why you do it. At the end of the day, we all want to feel connected to something -- and one of the best and most effective ways to connect with someone -- inside or outside your company -- is to share your story. And if they relate to your story, even a small part of it -- they will hear your message -- and act on it. First we l

isten to your goals -- then we ask the right questions to get to the heart of your story -- then we tell it in a memorable way that leads to results. So remember, it’s not about the message. It’s about the STORY -- and it would be our honor to tell yours.

Not gonna lie. I wasn’t quite sure how this day would go.

On the one hand, thanking God for gifting me 31 years ago with the most incredible daughter a mom could ask for.

On the other, bracing myself for this first Mother’s Day without my precious mom.

Have there been tears? Of course. Both happy and sad.

But the word that best describes my overwhelming emotion: gratitude.

For the moments shared and memories made — from the day Anita Clarice Steele Jones gave birth to me — to the day I gave birth to Lindsey Lorelle Gregory — to all the days in between and those yet to come.

I am so thankful for all of it .

To my precious daughter, Happy Birthday, sweet Lindsey. I love you more than words can say, and I could not be more proud of the compassionate human you are.

And to my amazing mother, Happy Heavenly Mother’s Day. I feel you and love you — now and always.❤️‍🩹 ❤️

How does one sum up 97 years of a life well lived?

Words fail me, but the feelings, the memories, and the love for my most amazing mother will sustain me the rest of my days.

Anita Clarice Steele Jones, you were one of a kind.

Elegance personified. A fashionista before that was a thing.

A loving wife to a hard-working physician whose home was filled with music, dancing, laughter, and the chicest parties ever.

A doting mother to my big brother and me. Present in the truest sense of the word.

A loving grandmother who cherished sleepovers, dessert for breakfast, and teaching the art of a perfect thank you note.

An interior designer with a flair like no other.

Community champion who taught me by example the power of giving of one’s self.

As a child, when I began to understand the concept of death, I dreaded the moment I might lose you. That moment arrived at 7:11 am yesterday.

It was as gut-wrenching as I imagined, but I am so grateful for the long, impactful life you lived.

Thankful especially for the last 20 years together, through triumphs and challenges that cemented our bond beyond imagination.

I miss you. Yet, you are still here.

In Lindsey’s eyes when she smiles.
In Lou’s laugh when he shares a funny story about you.
In every fiber of my being.

Thank you, God, for gifting me with my most amazing mother who taught me how to love — and how to live.

I love you, Mommy. Now and always.
Rest well.

This is the week we say goodbye.

Election night 1991.
My first indelible memory of

It was his first run for Houston Mayor.
I was a reporter covering his election night party.
He was gracious with his time, despite a devastating loss.

I could not have foreseen the number of times I would interview him over the next 30 years.
Nor that we would become friends.
Nor that he would leave us way too soon.

At the end of his eight years as Houston Mayor, I was honored to produce his legacy video, capturing his accomplishments while navigating some of our city’s most challenging times.

The last time I saw him was January 11, 2025.
A week or so earlier he called and asked if I would emcee his Congressional swearing-in ceremony in Houston.

Before he finished asking, I had already said yes.

The lobby of the Mickey Leland building was standing room only on that sunny, Saturday afternoon.

Hundreds of Turner’s family, friends, colleagues, and constituents clapped, sang, and cried tears of joy as they celebrated the latest milestone in a public service career that spanned nearly four decades.

That is how I will remember him.
That infectious smile lighting up his face.
Surrounded by those he loved, and those he served.

To and the entire Turner family, thank you for sharing him with us.
We are lifting you up in love and prayer.

Congressman Turner, it’s hard to find the words.
I hope you left us knowing the impact you made on our world.
How much you mattered.
How much you are appreciated and loved.
How much we will miss you.💔

I was the first one in line to vote this morning. It felt so good to finally make my voice heard after this never-ending election cycle that has further divided us.

As of this writing, more than 14 million Americans have already voted early.

That gives me .

Because when we are all engaged in making our work, we have a chance at making it last.

Another important part of engaging in democracy is figuring out how to talk to each other when we don’t agree.

That’s the work we do at . And we are proud to partner with and promote others who are also doing the work of bringing us together as Americans.

One of the most impactful organizations in this space is , founded by now 24 year-old when he was a freshman at UC Berkley.

It is now on 63 college campuses and 17 high school campuses in 39 states.

I’ve interviewed Manu twice on , most recently in January as this election year began.

It’s one of my favorite conversations in more than five years of hosting the podcast.

So much of what he had to say is relevant to where we are now, but despite our divisions, this conversation will leave you with hope. And I’ll bet you could use some of that right about now.

So, take a moment to watch or listen.
And don’t forget to vote.

Planting and decorating for the holidays is my happy place. I really needed this today. Starved myself of my daily news diet which only feeds my anxiety over what’s happening in our country and our world. It’s all too much, but we have to find a way to keep living and enjoying each moment. What are you doing to stay centered and sane?

was honored to host our first town hall on energy at the opening ceremonies of Energy and Climate Week on September 9, 2024.

“We need to fight the changing climate, not each other.  We respect democracy, civil dialogue, diverse ideas, productivity, and pragmatism. “

That part of HECW’s Unity Commitment, guiding the week’s events, is in perfect alignment with the mission of Civil Dialogues and this podcast.

And so is the ethos of this week’s guest, Wilson, activist, actor, entrepreneur, poet, and host of “I Was There” on the History Channel.

His TED Talk on race in America has been viewed 18 million times.

After meeting and interviewing him on the panel, I needed more time to explore his provocative perspectives.

So I invited him to keep the conversation going and share it on .

From climate justice to going undercover in the Alt-Right movement to the art of having a civil dialogue, nothing was off limits.

This is one you don’t want to miss.
