Balancing work and play is a constant struggle, especially when your work is content creation and having a “dreamy lifestyle”.

One of us is always eager to go surfing, while the other is focused on getting that perfect shot for that brand collaboration deadline. The catch: We can’t do both at the same time, so we have to sometimes sacrifice play for work. Oh well!

The important lesson: even when you have a lifestyle that others envy, there’s always work involved. The key to true work-life balance isn’t about avoiding work or play; it’s about finding harmony between the two, knowing when to dive into your passion and when to step back and enjoy the moment.

Remember, there’s always more going on behind the scenes!

hese are my personal hidden gems of South Africa’s coastline - I’m not going to give away their exact locations because treasures are meant to be discovered, not overcrowded but if you are an adventurous spirit, you’ll definitely find them along the way with my few hints! 😉

One travel item I never leave behind for my coastal getaways is my towels and blankets. They’re perfect for adventurous days and my long trips traveling from the East to West Coast of South Africa.

My top personal favorite East Coast locations of South Africa (highly requested)! Save this post for your next visit 😋🇿🇦

Over the last 6 months I’ve rediscovered the Eastern Cape and it’s been a journey of reconnecting with some of my favorite, most cherished places. These spots located along South Africa’s iconic Garden Route, are deeply personal to me and many of them I’m sharing locations for the first time!

1. Schotia Safari
A guided safari offering intimate wildlife encounters

2. Addo Elephant Park
Adventourous self-drive safari famous for its African elephants and diverse wildlife

3. Sardinia Bay
My favorite beach in the world for its unspoiled coastline that goes on forever plus best sunset spot in the summer! P.S I will get married here one day lol 👰🏽‍♀️

4. Maitlands Mouth
My favorite downhill skate spot, with dunes perfect for sandboarding and an epic ocean backdrop! This is my local beach and secret spot I’ve never shared the location before…

5. Jeffrey’s Bay / Jbay
The world’s best right-hand point break, a surfer’s dream and cute vibrant coastal town, great shopping for surf brands

6. Bloukrans Bungee
The highest bungee jump in Africa/ the world, a bucket list activity and stunning views

7. Tsitsikamma
A lush natural haven for hiking, birdwatching, and soaking in incredible nature and sunshine.

8. Storms River
Kayak through dramatic gorges surrounded by towering cliffs that kinda looks like a scene from Jurassic Park

9. Otter Trail
A super challenging coastal hike but has the most incredible secluded natural pools and thriving marine life!

These places, along South Africa’s Garden Route, reflect the wild spirit of our country’s coastlines— places I hold close to my heart!! I hope you’re able to see and enjoy these places as much as I do ❤️

The thrill of learning a new sport! 🪂 Especially speed winging with friends at my favorite beach spot that kinda looks like Mars, surrounded by massive sand dunes and perfect wind conditions 👌🏽
