A Precinct 3 news release states a second round of spraying will take place June 9 on county streets and rights-of-way.

“Our office is working diligently to minimize the risk of contracting a mosquito-borne illness,” Precinct 3 Commissioner James Noack said in a news release.

Hallmark Mitigation & Construction LLC will be moving to a new office warehouse with construction tentatively expected to be completed in November, co-owner Terra Hallmark confirmed in May. The business will be moving from its Humble location to the new building located on Phillip Way.

“I’m very blessed. I really don’t have words,” Dunagin said in a phone interview as he picked up campaign signs June 5. “I never expected to win. I thought the incumbent would. ... But the people who worked with me worked tirelessly to get out and talk with people. And we got the message out that we need controlled, managed growth.”

Dunagin defeated incumbent Chad Degges with nearly 54% of the vote. The unofficial results are scheduled to be canvassed June 13.

Incumbent Lance Botkin will remain at the helm of Position 6 for the Pearland ISD board of trustees, according to unofficial results.

Botkin, who faced off against challenger David Nguyen, accumulated 3,843 votes, or 64.42%. Nguyen totaled 2,123 votes, or 35.58%.

“It’s an honor to serve on the board," Botkin told Community Impact Newspaper. "The community continues to come out and vote for me because they know that I have the kids first, teachers first attitude, and they understand that. That is my passion. As a former educator, that is continuously what I strive for."

With all Harris County precincts reporting, Phil Johnson has won his bid for Nassau Bay mayor in the May 7 election.

Johnson, who currently serves as the Position 2 Nassau Bay City Council member, faced Mark Denman, who formerly served as Nassau Bay mayor.

Johnson has received 577 votes, or 56.5% of the total votes. Denman secured 444, or 43.5% of the total.
