This weekend's Space Channel movie is the 1957 Sci-Fi sleeper, The Monolith Monsters, directed by Jack Arnold and starring Grant Williams (The Incredible Shrinking Man) and Les Tremayne (The War Of the Worlds).

Movie plot: The Monolith Monsters is a pleasant change from all those giant animal and alien invasion movies. This time, we have giant crystals threatening the world, which multiply when in contact with water and make people turn to stone. It's quite an interesting premise. 👽🛸

Trivia: The meteor crash is footage of the spaceship crash from It Came from Outer Space (1953) which Space Channel ran last Saturday.

It starts tonight at 9:00 ET/PT. Replays Sunday at 8 pm ET/5 pm PT.
