Episode 04: Let One Piece Do the Work

Love a bold piece but don’t necessarily want to go full pattern-on-pattern-on-pattern? You don’t have to! Here’s my little formula for letting ONE statement piece do all the work:

❤️ Start with the statement piece.
Today I went with this red + white striped skirt. It already has plenty of personality, so I don’t need to add much more.

🤍 Keep the rest simple.
A neutral tank gives the bold piece some breathing room and keeps the whole outfit feeling wearable instead of overwhelming.

✨ Repeat one color.
Pull one color from your statement piece and repeat it somewhere else.

You don’t have to be a maximalist to wear fun clothes. Sometimes one really good piece is enough to make the whole outfit happy.

Houston Restaurant Weeks is happening and it’s the best excuse to try a new spot!

We went for the $39 three-course dinner at Bosscat Kitchen & Libations™ in Market Street and it is SUCH a good deal.

George and I ordered different dishes so we could try a little of everything. We loved it all but our stand out favorites were by far the ahi crudo, strawberry burrata, catfish and bread pudding. 🤤
