A good mortgage broker won’t always tell you what you want to hear…
But they will tell you the truth—and that can save you time, money, and a lot of stress.
One of the things I genuinely love about my job is helping people avoid getting declined by a lender before they’ve even applied. We see it all the time—someone applies on their own, gets a “no,” and then comes to us after the damage is done.
✅ As brokers, we have access to specific lending criteria that most people (and even some bank staff) just don’t know. That means we can often guide you to the right lender from the start.
Sometimes people want to try on their own first—and that’s totally fine.
Some come back to the same broker.
Others feel too embarrassed and go to someone else.
