Dj Mixmaster Brown is a PROFESSIONAL Nigerian dj based in Houston Tx. An ICONIC figure in the African Dj community who has been in the dj & entertainment business since 1989. Experience is definitely not in doubt or question. A tv producer and owner of Houston's urban African tv network "Mmb Tv". His skills and contribution to DJing paid off when he was named the anchor deejay for the 50 Cent/G unit Concert and as one of the deejays for the Akon Concert, he was also summoned to duty for the Jarule and Kelvin Lyttle concerts in Nigeria. Dj Mixmaster Brown aka Calabarboy, founder of HitDjs Conglomerate, is the event consultant and the OFFICIAL dj for the annual Calabar Festival, which has been named the biggest carnival and street party in Africa. 🎂 🥳 This past year has been one of mixed blessings.
Lost some and made some new friends.

The highlight for me has been the 3k plus Fulshear residents I met during this past year. Getting to connect one-on-one with them is something I will remember for the rest of my life.

Moving forward:
Use the wisdom gained over the years to live more authentically.

Prayer to self:
I pray that the Lord will bless and protect me and that he will show me mercy and kindness. May the Lord be good to me and give me peace.

OPINION | The Burna Boy "Ban" and the Necessity of Truth

The dust is settling on the Burna Boy/DJ Tunez saga, and as I suspected, the narrative was messy. The Deejays Association of Nigeria (DJAN) has now officially refuted claims of a music ban, calling out "misleading media reports."

My previous take on this wasn't about choosing sides, it was about professionalism. Many misunderstood my point on solidarity, so let me be clear: I stand for DJ unity. But for unity to work, we need the "full gist." If any association asks DJs to down tools, that order must be accompanied by a factual account of what transpired.

Here is why this matters in 2026:

Misinformation spreads like wildfire: Without an official story attached to a notice, we are at the mercy of blogs and rumors.

The "Streaming" Reality: In a world where 90% of music is consumed via digital platforms, a boycott based on "vibes" rather than verified facts only hurts the DJ’s influence while driving more private streams to the artist.

Whether it’s a ban or a refutation, we deserve respect as stakeholders. We aren't just "operators"; we are the heartbeat of the culture. Let’s keep the information as high-quality as the music we play.
