25 days until the WGLC 2026 early bird deadline closes and this is worth your attention.

The early bird rate is the best rate available. It will not come back after September 25. And the professionals who register early are, without exception, the same ones who walk into that room prepared, intentional, and ready to get everything the program offers.

Do not let a full inbox be the reason you paid more for the same two days.

October 28-29, Marriott Marquis Houston. Speakers from Google, SLB, TC Energy, Equinor, Baker Hughes, Weatherford, Shell, Noble Corporation, Worley, Valero, Siemens Energy, and more.

For nearly 50 years, the Houston Area Women's Center has been doing some of the most important work in this city: helping survivors of domestic violence, s*xual assault, and s*x trafficking build safe, stable, and self-determined lives.

Through counseling, legal advocacy, emergency housing, children's services, and economic empowerment programs, HAWC supports thousands of individuals and families each year. At the center of that work is One Safe Place, a first-of-its-kind community of care that offers 135 supportive housing apartments alongside on-site behavioral health, childcare, legal resources, and workforce readiness programs.

WGLC is proud to have HAWC as a supporting organization. The work we do around leadership and professional growth matters more when it exists alongside organizations committed to making sure every woman has the safety and stability to pursue it.

Connect with HAWC during WGLC!

Deepwater plays a longer game than the commodity cycle. And right now, that game is heating up.

New geographies are opening. Technology is advancing fast. Capital is flowing into deepwater at a rate that reflects genuine confidence in the sector's next chapter.

The Deepwater Development panel at WGLC 2026 unpacks what is driving this: the technical and commercial forces behind the next wave of development, what the opportunity landscape looks like for professionals at every career stage, and how leaders operating in deepwater today are thinking about talent, growth, and the road ahead.

Moderated by Sacha Luces, Asset Development and Subsurface Manager for Shell's Gulf of America operations. Confirmed panelists include Chen Jainsky, Project Manager at MODEC; Stephanie Otema Dzandu, Reservoir Engineer at Ghana National Petroleum Corporation; Karelis Holuby, Deputy Project Director, Triton, Woodside Energy; and Maggie Sheridan, Manager of Offshore Operations Engineering at Murphy Oil Corporation.

Day 1, October 28.

The infrastructure decisions being made in the next 12 to 24 months will shape the energy industry for the next decade.

AI-driven demand is real. Grid constraints are real. And the gap between viable infrastructure opportunities and speculative ones is wider than it looks from the outside.

Carol Enneking has spent years helping energy leaders navigate exactly this. As an Executive Advisor at Eldon Land Supply, former senior leader in a Fortune 200 organization, and author of the best-selling book The Rebalancing Act, she has advised more than 30 energy companies on how to evaluate infrastructure opportunities, assess interconnection risk, and make stronger strategic trade-offs under pressure.

At WGLC 2026, she presents: The New Energy Equation: Leading Through the Collision of AI, Infrastructure, and Grid Constraints.

A practical framework. Not a forecast, not hype. Tools for leaders making real decisions in a market that keeps moving.

What is the return on sending your team to WGLC 2026?

The same two days produce a different result when three people from the same organization attend versus one. They return with shared language. A common framework for the challenges the conference addressed. Peers who can hold each other accountable to the commitments they made in that room.

That accountability does not exist when one person returns from a week away and tries to explain what they learned in a Monday debrief.

Send two. Send five. Send a cohort. The ROI is not in the individual learning. It is in what happens when they get back.

Group rates are available. October 28-29, Marriott Marquis Houston.

5 sessions at WGLC 2026 worth clearing your calendar for.

1. The Industrial Edge: Why Your Energy Roots Are the Secret Weapon in the AI Revolution (Google). Because no one in this industry should be afraid of AI. They should be leading it.

2. Thriving in Transition: Leading Through Change. Because every energy professional is navigating some version of this right now.

3. Beyond the Hype: How Energy Leaders Are Making AI Work. Because the honest conversation about AI in operations is more valuable than the optimistic one.

4. Decision-Making Under Pressure: The Art of the High-Stakes Call. Because the decision that cannot wait, on incomplete information, is the one that defines leaders.

5. From Insight to Action: Leading the Change That Sticks. Because every conference owes you a closing session that actually sends you home ready to do something different.

All of the above. October 28-29, Marriott Marquis Houston.

Most energy professionals spend a career deepening expertise in one domain. Allison Thurmond has spent hers proving that expertise transfers.

A PhD geoscientist with 30 years of leadership experience, she has led Gulf of Mexico exploration strategy, run R&D programs in the US and Norway, and navigated the complexity of international energy markets. Today she is Vice President of North America Lithium at Equinor, building a sustainable lithium business from the ground up.

At WGLC 2026, she presents: Leveraging Expertise While Shattering Norms: The Lithium Example.

Tomorrow's energy mix is more electrified. That opens new value chains where deep O&G expertise is not a liability. It is the competitive advantage. Allison has lived this transition. She will share what the pivot actually looked like, what transferred, what had to be unlearned, and what the opportunity means for professionals willing to go there.

The WGLC 2026 early bird rate is open and the deadline is September 25.

That is five weeks away. Here is the thing about early bird: it exists because the people who decide quickly are the same people who get the most out of being in that room. They came prepared. They knew why they were there. They acted on what they learned.

The program is set. The speakers are confirmed. The workshops are built. The only thing missing is your registration.

October 28-29, Marriott Marquis Houston. Speakers from Google, SLB, TC Energy, Equinor, Baker Hughes, Weatherford, Shell, Noble Corporation, Worley, Valero, Siemens Energy, and more.
