The final Saturday of January 2021 and where are we? That question is answered by each of us as we likely know where we are and if not, do you have anymore of what you took? Does it make you want to tune into 90.1 KPFT [kpft.org] this Saturday at 3 PM?
This week's DEADbEAT is full up with music that will make you want to do the driver's seat boogie or dance around the house. Some great jams some rock and roll and a Dead Set from the Chicago Uptown Theater (Jan 30 1978)
Now for the good part... Mr. David Baes joins me for a quick break at 4:30. David is our new GM and has plans to shake it up. You may already noticed an improved sound quality in our FM signal and Galveston will soon be treated to a restored transmitter function... Additionally there are new shows already airing and more to come.
Finally I am pleased to announce for our next fund drive which starts on Feb 4th there is a new DEADbEAT T Shirt which is a beauty (Houston Beauty that is).... You can get one for a $100 pledge to DEADbEAT starting with the drive. You call 713-526-5738 and give 'em you digits and say I want that DEADbEAT T shirt or click-click at KPFT.org....

Community radio is a great thing. It allows producers to be unchecked by any guidance which can lead to chaos both in an introverted and extroverted manner. That leads us to DEADbEAT for January 23 (Saturday) at 3 PM CST on 90.1 KPFT or streamed at kpft.org ...
Anyway back to the chaos. When putting this show together and considering its good celebrate the anniversary of a unique GD show... this date offered a sparse choice but...

First the Jerry Garcia band with guest vocalist Sarah Fulcher - a trip.. Then the Grateful Dead Live at Honolulu Civic Auditorium that concludes with a Lovelight from the depths.
