How is this *supposed* to come out?

It’s got threads kind of inside and seems like it’s supposed to just screw out but how am I supposed to do that? The screw spots are obviously cracked and the cover won’t stay on anymore.

Insurance claim? Something else!?

Came home to water coming from the ceiling in my kitchen. The kitchen is located under my upstairs bathroom. Turned off the toilet and the leak stopped.

Had a plumber come out take a look at the hole and he just said call insurance and left.

Is this something that is typically covered by homeowners? Should I get a different plumber out to look at it?🥲

I was standing in my bathroom (top floor, rented apartment) getting ready this morning, heard a small knock, and then the base of my toilet exploded?? What would have caused this? Very thankful no one was sitting on it, because porcelain went everywhere. Waiting for maintenance to respond to us.🥲

Just had some pipes swapped out for copper. A day later - is this a leak?

Looking for advice - I had pipes swapped out for copper and noticed tiny amount of water, just a drop or two seems to come out. Is this a leak? Normal? What is the best approach to this?
