To our Classic Hits Einstine Radio family of listeners. We have crews who'll be working on our electrical systems today. So, at some point, Einstine will go offline up to about few hours max.

This work will ensure Einstine's continuous operation operation even with power outages at the Einstine studios. We are excited to get this work done given all the crazy outages over the last couple years.

This afternoon, a London hospital became the stage for a performance no arena could ever match. Jon Bon Jovi, carrying a worn acoustic guitar that had survived decades of tours and hotel rooms, walked quietly to the fifth floor — to the room where his lifelong friend Phil Collins lay, weakened from months of battling spinal and heart complications. Phil’s eyes fluttered open, lips trembling, unable to form words.

Jon didn’t offer any small talk or pleasantries. He simply pulled up a chair, rested the guitar on his knee, and began to strum a raw, stripped-down version of “Bed of Roses.” Each chord was heavier than applause, more powerful than stadium lights — it was memory, brotherhood, and survival echoing through the sterile walls. Nurses gathered at the doorway, holding back tears, as a single tear rolled down Phil’s cheek. When the last note dissolved into silence, Jon leaned forward, clasped Phil’s hand with the tenderness of someone who’d lived every lyric, and whispered: “You’re still a legend, mate… even if the only stage left is life itself.” 🥹💖

On this day in 1981, the Billy Squier single “The Stroke” re-entered the Australian charts at #71, after last appearing on August 24 at #84 (September 14)

Billy Squier was 14 when he started his first band, but had to wait until he was 31 for his first charting single - “The Stroke”.

Squier maintains that the song is about the music industry, despite many people having a different opinion on what the song is about…

It went to #3 in Austria, #5 in Australia, #7 in Canada, and #17 on the US Billboard Hot 100.

The LP “Don’t Say No” is a US Top 5 album, and a very good one too…
If you haven’t heard it in full - give it a listen, or as Molly used to say, “do yourself a favour!”.

“The Stroke” was named the 59th best hard rock song of all time by VH1.
