New RŪDUS merch just in time for this weekend 🌞

✨Spent the lunar eclipse weekend in acts of devotion, as one does. Tried my hand at bleach printing, messed up a lot (as one does), learned so much, ultimately embraced unpredictability and imperfection. This is the way.
The art is a woodcut by Henri van der Stok entitled ‘Mercurius’, 1928 and depicts the Roman messenger god Mercury- god of swiftness, communication, divination, language, luck and commerce.
We chose it because it looks sick but I realized after that the fact that Mercury is from the latin ‘merx’ literally meaning ‘merch’ (lol, too on the nose?)
Mercury ruled the eclipse we just experienced and is also in retrograde so we are literally at his mercy. Makes some kind of cosmic sense to bear his mark- as a prayer we don’t get fu**ed up too badly this time around 🌖🌗🌘🌑🌒🌓🌔
and perhaps as a thanks for all the *luck* he is surely about to bestow at the merch table🙏
